Fire triggers panic in school, no casualty

Panic prevailed in Dnyanprakash School of Garkheda following a minor fire broke out in its computer lab located on the ground floor at 12.35pm on Wednesday. No casualty has been reported in the fire incident.
Fire brigade sources said that they received a fire call at 12.45pm and a fire tender with 5-6 firemen rushed to the spot. They extinguished the fire in 15 minutes. The lab was closed when fire broke out. It doesn’t have sufficient ventilation, so the smoke remained inside the room. It started billowing out through the staircase after which the fire incident came to light. It reduced some papers, scrap and a computer to ashes. The incident brought the routine school activities to a standstill nearly for an hour. Several students, teachers and locals rushed to the spot.
Sources said that the exact amount of loss incurred due to fire could not be established. The fire brigade authorities have.
No case is registered in the police station yet but sources said that the school authorities have been summoned with a written complaint so that a case of accidental fire is registered and the exact cause of fire is found.
