Fire at Khulna City Corporation building

A fire has ravaged several offices on the fourth floor of the Khulna City Corporation building.
The fire at ‘Nagar Bhaban’ broke out at around 8:45am on Monday, said Fire Service station’s Fireman Mahfuzul Haque.
Six fire-fighting units rushed to the spot and put out the flames after an hour of effort.
Quoting the city corporation staff, Khulna Sadar police OC Md Shafiqul Islam said an electric short-circuit could have started the fire.
But Mahfuzul Haque could not confirm it. He said no one was injured in the fire.
The offices of trade license, law and education departments are housed on the fourth floor.
Fire-fighters and city corporation officials were yet to determine the extent of damage from the fire.
