Goods worth Rs2 Lakh gutted in plant fire

A fire broke out in a garment factory in Sector 58 Wednesday afternoon. It took five tenders to douse the fire after two-hours, and left goods worth Rs 2 lakh burnt. No one was hurt in the fire.
Noida fire safety officer S K Singh said, “Fire broke out in ground floor of the 3-storey cloth unit, Shahi Exports, and started moving up. It may have been caused by a short circuit.”
Fire officials said they received a call at 2.00 pm about the fire.
Singh said, “Clothes caught fire immediately. Goods worth Rs 2 lakh were burnt in the fire, but no one was hurt.” A complaint was registered in Sector 58 PS on the incident.
