Fire Destroys Factory In Senawang

SEREMBAN, March 25 (Bernama) — A factory used to store metal scrap was destroyed in a fire in Senawang here today.
Senawang fire station chief Mohd Faiz Sulaiman said 18 firemen including from Seremban arrived at the scene at 5.20pm and brought the fire under control 20 minutes later.
“The vehicles involved are ERMS (Emergency Medical and Rescue Services), a water tanker and a multi-purpose vehicle. No one was injured and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
“Early estimate put losses at more than RM300,000. The fire also destroyed a Mercedes Benz car and several forklifts,” he said when contacted by Bernama.
Meanwhile, about 10 trees in Taman Paroi Jaya were uprooted after a thunderstorm lashed Seremban district this afternoon.
Eye witness A. Jeevanantham,54, said the incident at 5.30 pm also destroyed four vehicles caused by falling trees.
