Fire breaks out in Taninthayi Region

A FIRE broke out at an agriculture and vocational training camp in Myeik of Taninthayi Region on Friday.
The fire started in a kitchen of a house owned by U Aung Min, head of the camp on Friday afternoon. The flames quickly got out of control and spread to an office apartment and five warehouses.
A 35×35 feet house, a 50×20 ft warehouse, three 150×45 ft rice warehouses and a store keeping agriculture machineries, 200 bags of rice and 600 uniforms were badly damaged in the blaze.
With the assistance of neighbours, the fire was put out by firefighters with two private-owned fire engines.
Police are still investigating the case.
