Fire devours a house in Dawei

A FIRE devoured a house on Laytha road in Dawei town, Taninthayi region on 27 March.
According to an investigation the fire broke out when U Hla Win left the home without extinguishing a purpose built fire (for cooking, etc). The resulting blaze was brought under control by firemen with the help of local residents. Action is being taken against the home owner, who will be charged under the relevant law.
