Fire at revenue office

BIRGUNJ: Property worth more than Rs 4 million was gutted when a fire engulfed Inland Revenue Office, Birgunj at 5:00 pm on Friday evening. The fire started from room number 107 when the office was closed for public holiday. Security guards Rajan Pandey and Laxman Dahal had called the police and firefighters immediately after the fire broke out. Inspector Jiblal Chundali said the fire was doused with the help of firefighters from sub-metropolitan city office. Chundali surmised that short-circuit might have sparked the fire. Tax officer Ananda Gupta said that blaze had burnt inland stickers worth more than Rs 4 million.
