Fire in bushes near LBS Airport runway, no damage

Fire broke out in bushes near the runway of Lal Bahadur Shastri International airport, Babatpur, on Monday night. The security personnel and airport staff extinguish the fire.
According to reports, the dry bushes caught fire due to sparks caused by short circuit around midnight. The CISF personnel and security staff extinguished the fire.
Airport director D S Garia said on Tuesday that there was nothing serious and the fire was put off immediately.
Situated around 20 km from the city, it is one of most significant airports of the country. Besides domestic flights to major cities, the airport also provides international flights to Bangkok, Colombo, Kathmandu and Sharjah.
