A fire broke out in a plot being used by some scrap dealers to store plastic, books and broken furnitures in Bhowpura on Friday. Three fire tenders brought the blaze under control in three hours. Though no causalities have been reported, nearby residents panicked as the fire threatened to engulf many houses adjacent to the plot. “We received information about it around 4.45pm. Two fire tenders were rushed to the spot but since many inflammable objects like books were stored in the plot, the fire spread in no time,” said Abbas Hussaini, station officer, Sahibabad fire station. The cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.
