Property worth Rs 4 lakh destroyed in fires

KATHMANDU: Property worth Rs 400,000 was destroyed in fires at various places in Kathmandu Valley on Saturday.
Police said an electronic short circuit at the house of Ram Sharan Baruwal in Baruwaldanda, Bhimdhunga in Nagarjun Municipality-11 on Saturday gutted property worth around Rs 200,000.
The fire had destroyed the house, food grains, clothes and kitchenware.
Similarly, another fire gutted property worth Rs 200,000 at Talku Dudechaur in Dakshinkali Municipality-11 on Saturday.
The fire destroyed some livestock including 15 goats and two chickens.
