One man was injured after fire in shop in Maretha village near Makarpura late on Tuesday night. Dinesh Mali was closing his farsan shop around 12.30 am when fire broke out in his shop’s kitchen. Thirty-five-year-old Mali escaped with minor burn injuries and was admitted at SSG Hospital.
Mali was preparing to leave the shop after arranging for the next day’s work when the incident happened. According to Mali, he did not realise that he had forgotten to turn off one of the burners. The fire spread after a piece of cloth caught fire from the burner.
According to the fire brigade, Mali managed to come out of the kitchen and alert some of the locals sitting near his shop. The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes. The damage to the shop was also restricted to the kitchen. TNN
