10 vehicles gutted in fire at Kishanwadi police station

Ten two-wheelers were gutted in fire in the compound of Kishanwadi police station on Friday early morning. The reason of the fire is unknown. Following the incident the fire brigade rushed to the spot.
No casualty was reported from the spot. According to the fire officials the incident took place at around 2 am. “The fire was brought under control in an hour by five firemen. The vehicles were lying open in the compound. It led to thick fumes however residences near the spot were unaffected,” said a fire official.
The vehicles were detained by the Kishanwadi police under various offences.
This is the second incident of fire near a police station this month. On April 3, nineteen motorbikes were gutted in fire in the compound of Gorwa police station. All the motorbikes were part of goods that were recovered in offences of thefts from across the city.
