Fire destroys property worth Rs 600,000 in Biratnagar

MORANG: Property worth around Rs 600,000 was reduced to ashes when a fire broke out at the shed of Niramal Karki in Biratnagar-5 on Sunday.
The fire killed four cows and four calves, police said.
The incident occurred at around 3 am.
The fire was taken under control with the help of police and locals.
Pedestrian killed
A woman died after a brack of a tree fell on her in Daraiyabasti of Biratnagar-20 on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Sumitra Thakuri (60) of Daraiyabasti.
The incident occurred at around 4 am.
She died while undergoing treatment at the Nobel Hospital in Biratnagar last night, said Police Inspector Jageswor Bhandari.
