Fire breaks out in Lakherapura shop

A major fire broke out at a shop in Lakherapura on Monday. Sources said around Rs 50 lakh worth of goods were gutted in the fire. The shop belongs to former corporator Naresh Jadhav.
Around six fire tenders and as many tankers were pressed into service after receiving information about the fire incident. It took about three hours for fire-fighters to control the situation.
The fire was noticed by local residents who informed the police as well as fire station. Police said it appears that that fire took place owing to short circuit.
The fire engulfed the shop and caused extensive damage. Police said a case has been registered and probe is on.
