At least 29 persons, including 11 children, sustained burn injuries on Tuesday night when a massive fire broke out at Chhapawa market on Motihari-Raxaul road (NH28A) under Sugauli police station area in East Champaran due to multiple explosions triggered by LPG cylinders in an illegal refilling shop.

DM Anupam Kumar and other senior officers supervised the medical help given by doctors to the injured at the Motihari sadar hospital on Tuesday night. Civil surgeon Dr Prashant Kumar said 10 patients in critical condition having more than 80% burn injuries were sent to PMCH, Patna.
