Car catches fire on E-way

A Honda City car caught fire at Noida-Greater Noida expressway near Sector 127 on Thursday night. Eyewitnesses said that the car driver observed smoke emitting from inside and he immediately stopped the vehicle and evacuated. The vehicle suddenly caught fire and went into flames. Sushil Kumar Yadav, fire officer, Noida said that the incident took place at 9:30 pm.
Police received a call from a passerby. “We reached at the spot and found the vehicles in fire. The fire fighters doused the flames. The car owner had left the spot when we reached there,” he said. Police said they are trying to find the owner of vehicle which had a registration number – UP 16 L 0009.
