Cleaner dies as mini truck catches fire on collision

The cleaner of a mini truck was charred to death and the driver injured after the vehicle collided with another truck on Karur bypass road in the early hours on Friday. The tapioca-laden mini truck caught fire as a result of the collision.
The deceased was identified as Mohammed Hanifa, 45, from Vandi Periyar in Idukki district in Kerala. Driver of the mini truck Ansari, 35, from the same area sustained severe injuries.
The mini truck met with the accident near Thirukkampuliyur in Karur when it was on its way to Rasipuram from Tirunelveli to deliver the tapioca consignment.
