Son-in-law, drunk, burns home after quarrel

U Aung Mya Thein from Htantapin township heard his sister Daw Rosy Htay’s home was on fire and went there on June 22.
His sister said her son-in-law Ko Ye Thu Aung, 27, burned her home after quarrelling with her daughter. Using gasoline, he burned store and house, at an estimated loss of K1 million. The son-in-law allegedly punched Daw Rosy Htay’s daughter. Police are taking action under sections 436/323/506 of the penal code. The man faces up to 18 years in prison.
