Quezon City fire leaves 600 families homeless

At least 600 families were left homeless when a fire hit Barangay Baesa in Quezon City on Tuesday afternoon.
The fire broke out at a two-story house used as an upholstery shop in Sitio Pajo at 2:34 p.m., city fire marshal Superintendent Jesus Fernandez said.
The blaze reached Task Force Charlie before it was declared under control at past 5 p.m.
No one was reported hurt in the fire. Damage to property was estimated at P3 million.
Fernandez said arson investigators have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
The affected families were taken to evacuation centers in the city.
