Fire at auto parts factory in Samut Prakan

Fire crews arrive to fight the blaze at auto parts factory Aeroklas Co in Samrong Nua, Samut Prakan, early on Monday.
A fire at a factory producing car parts and accessories in Muang district early on Monday damaged the production building and a warehouse.
Pol Maj Thananchai Suebsrikachornrat, duty officer at Samrong Nua police station, said about 10 fire engines from Samrong Nua and nearby municipalities were sent to fight the blaze, which began about 1am.
The blazestarted in the warehouse then spread to the production building of Aeroklas Co, which is located at kilometre 6 on Thepharak Road in tambon Thepharak.
Fire crews took three hours to bring the fire under control. In addition to the buildngs and stock inside, three pickup trucks were also burned.
Thorakij Srijaeng, 62, a security guard on duty, said no workers were inside the factory when the fire started as it was a long holiday. He had called the police.
Police were investigating the cause of the fire. Damage had yet to be assessed.
