Two-wheelers gutted in major fire

At least eight two-wheelers were gutted in the fire that broke out at the parking slot of the residential apartment at Lambe Hanuman road on the early morning hours of Friday.
Sources in fire and emergency service said that the fire erupted at the parking slot of Laxminarayan apartment at Lambe Hanuman road on early Friday morning. Around eight two-wheelers including motor bike and mopeds were gutted in the fire.
The residents of the building immediately rushed out of their flats and informed the fire department about the major fire. The residents managed to rescue the other vehicles parked in the apartment by sprinkling water.
Fire officials said that the fire broke out following the short-circuit in the electricity meter box at the parking area. The fire soon caught up the two-wheelers parked in the slot.
The fire tenders rushed to the spot and took the fire under control. It took around one hour for the fire fighters to gain control.
