Colorado’s 834 million dead trees threaten to worsen fires

DHADING: Property worth around Rs 1.5 million turned into ashes when a sawmill caught fire in Dharke in Dhading district on Sunday night.
The sawmill operated by Ram Krishna Acharya caught fire on Saturday midnight.
The fire which was sparked from an electric short circuit burned plywood, readymade furniture and other machinery equipment and fully destroyed the sawmill.
Further, the fire also destroyed various things of an adjacent tyre shop.
The fire was contained after four hours.
A team of police personnel deployed from the Khanikhola Area Police Office with the help of locals had controlled the fire, said DSP Dipendra Panjiyar of the District Police Office.
