Ambulance catches fire in Kuala Kangsar

IPOH: An ambulance carrying four hospital staff members caught fire at Simpang Tiga, Taman Bunga Raya in Kuala Kangsar, some 50km from here.
During the incident at 8.59pm on Wednesday, the blaze destroyed 80 per cent of the vehicle after fire spread from the front part to the cabin of the ambulance. No one was injured during the incident.
The rescue operation ended at 9.39pm.”As she exited the car, she could see smoke coming out of the bonnet of the car,” ACP Rosly said.
Fire and Rescue Department personnel arrived shortly and put out the fire.
“Initial investigations by the Fire and Rescue Department did not show any elements of arson,” ACP Rosly said, adding that the 35-year-old officer was not at home when the incident occurred
