BUTTERWORTH: Two men were burnt to death after their cars caught fire following accidents here and in Sabah.
A night out with friends turned fatal for a 53-year-old factory manager when his car caught fire following an accident at the Prai Industrial Area here.
Yeong Peng Foo was on his way home after supper when his car was involved in a collision with a lorry.
He was trapped in his car when it caught fire at 12.05am yesterday.
OCPD Asst Comm Nik Ros Azhan said there was nothing anyone could do as the heat drove everyone back.
Yeong’s son Yiu Chung, 18, said he was puzzled over what could have caused the accident as his father would never drive recklessly or speed.
“We initially thought it was just a minor accident when the police called us.
