RMN Rescues Indonesian Fishermen After Boat Fire

LUMUT, Jan 19 (Bernama) — The Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) rescued four Indonesian crewmen and a skipper who were afloat in the sea about an hour after their fishing boat caught fire about 20 nautical miles southwest of Tanjung Sauh in Selangor waters yesterday.
RMN Fleet Administration Headquarters Assistant Head of Staff (Operations), Captain Azman Rabani said the boat owned by a local was ablaze when it was discovered by navy vessel, ‘KD Kinabalu’ about 4.50pm.
He said the ‘KD Kinabalu’ crew lodged a report at the Fleet Operations Centre before assisting in fighting the fire and rescuing the fishermen…..
