Property worth Rs 1.4 mln gutted in Sankhuwasabha fire

BHOJPUR: Property worth Rs 1.4 million turned into cinders after the fire sparked at two houses at Sheetalpati-9 of Sankhuwasabha district on Sunday.
According to the Biratnagar-based Eastern Regional Police Office, the fire sparked at Divya Raj Thakuri’s two-storey house at around 9 pm and it spread to another two-storey house of Chandra Bahadur Thapaliya.
The houses were unattended while the incident took place, added police.
Meanwhile, police along with the locals doused the fire.
