Fire destroys Putalisadak dance bar

KATHMANDU: Property worth Rs 600,000 was reduced to ashes when a dance bar in Putalisadak, KMC-22 caught fire on Sunday.
The Melody Dance Bar, operated by Anu Singh from Rautahat, on the first floor of the Downtown Supermarket, had caught fire, destroying goods and furniture at the Bar completely.
Preliminary police investigations suggested that two employees of the bar itself, named as Deepak and Ajay, had ignited the fire in some window curtains there with a lighter.
Meanwhile, the duo are on the run and police have launched a manhunt.
Locals and police had contained the fire.
Further investigation is underway.
