Man suffers burns as fire destroys two houses

KOTA KINABALU: A 44-year-old man was injured as fire gutted two houses in the interior Ranau district foothills early on Friday.
Sabah Fire and Rescue Services Department operations centre chief Khatizah Rahaban said Budiman Sanusi suffered burns to his face and hands in the 6.44am blaze.
She said 11 firemen in two fire engines rushed to Kampung Tagudon Baru after being alerted.
The fire was brought under control at 7.26am and extinguished about an hour later.
