Remote government clinic in Sarawak razed in fire

MIRI: The remote Long Seridan government clinic, which is a 10-hour drive from here, was razed in a fire on Tuesday afternoon.
Miri Fire and Rescue Department chief Supt Law Poh Kiong said a team of firefighters had been deployed to the site.
“We received an alert a short while ago.
“Based on initial information, all the staff in the clinic are safe,” he said, adding that the cause of the fire is being investigated.
Long Seridan is located near the mountainous region deep in northern Sarawak.
The only land route from Miri is by timber track.
