40 houses gutted in Siraha fire

LAHAN: At least 40 houses were destroyed after a fire broke out at a Dalit community in Sakhuwa Nankarkati-8, Siraha district on Monday evening.
The fire broke out from the dried hay of local Harinarayan Mandal and raged destroying 40 houses of 25 families.
However, no human casualty has been reported.
Sub-Inspector of Area Police Office, Maheshbari, Ram Krishna Chaudhari said the fire is yet to come under control.
Chaudhari further said that the details of the damage are yet to be ascertained as fire still continues to rage in the area.
Meanwhile, locals, security personnel and fire fighters are trying to contain the inferno.
