Night fire guts property worth Rs 1.5 million in Saptari

RAJBIRAJ: A fire in Portaha of Saptari district has gutted property worth Rs 1.5 million.
The fire started from a spark in a thresher machine belonging to Satayadev Paghaiya Yadav and spread to his residence and three other houses, the Bhardaha Area Police Office said.
The fire destroyed food commodities, clothes, crockery and cash worth Rs 1.5 million, the District Police Office said.
The fire was taken under control with the help of fire engines dispatched from Rajbiraj, local residents and police.
