Fire at Karwan Bazar building doused

A fire that broke out at a four-storey building beside Wasa Bhaban in Karwan Bazar of Dhaka today has been doused.
Five fire fighting units brought the flames on the ground floor under control in half an hour’s effort at 2:15pm, an official with the fire service told The Daily Star.
Origin of the fire which sparked around 1:45pm, was not known immediately, the official said.
Details on the incident were not available at the moment.
