Three of single family killed as fire breaks out in Banke village

KATHMANDU: Three children of a family were burnt to death after a fire broke out in Puduwa of Duduwa Rural Municipality-1 in Banke district on Sunday midnight.
The deceased have been identified as Pawan (6), Ramji (8), and Sony (10), the children of local resident Munchi Maure.
The fire broke out from a house belonging to Dulari Maure which further spread to adjacent houses in the neighbourhood killing children at around 12:00 am yesterday, according to the Banke District Police Office (DPO).
Altogether seven houses and two sheds were gutted in the fire, said police.
Police with the help of locals doused the fire in an hour.
What caused the fire is yet to be ascertained, police at the DPO said.
Loss is yet to be evaluated.
