Arsonists may be behind blaze

KOTA BARU: Fire destroyed a house and six vehicles in Tumpat.
The front portion of a house was razed along with five motorcycles and a four-wheel drive vehicle. There were no casualties.
Victim Syanira Yatim, 22, claimed a group of armed masked men entered their compound at Kampung Semat Jal, yesterday at around midnight and started smashing windows.
“My brother saw six men torch the car and motorcycles in our garage,” she said, adding all seven occupants of the house are safe.
Tumpat OCPD Sup Zaharudin Rasip said police have identified the suspects and efforts are underway to detain them.
