100 houses razed in Laguna fire — dzBB report

At least 100 houses were razed in a fire that hit a residential area in Biñan town in Laguna province Friday night.
No one was initially reported injured in the fire that started at about 9 p.m., according to a report on dzBB radio early Saturday.
The report cited information from the Bureau of Fire Protection indicating the fire reached the fourth alarm before it was put out at 11:45 p.m.
Arson investigators are verifying information the fire stemmed from an overheating appliance that was left plugged in.
Investigation showed the fire spread quickly in the area since the houses there were made of light materials and were bunched closely together. — ELR, GMA News
