KOTA BHARU, June 8 (Bernama) — A labourer injured his left thumb and index finger while trying to remove a firecracker that was believed to have been thrown into his motorcycle’s front basket by mischievous children.
In the 3pm incident at Kampung Simpangan, Tumpat, yesterday, the victim, Abdul Azim Mohamad, 29, was heading to the Pengkalan Kubor Duty Free Area on his Yamaha 125 motorcycle said the firecracker exploded when he tried to remove it from the basket.
Abdul Azim who was met at the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital (HRPZII) here said he did not know where the firecracker came from or thrown from…..
