Fire breaks out at rubbish collection centre in Bedok South; no injuries reported

INGAPORE – A fire broke out at the rubbish collection centre of a Housing Board block in Bedok South on Tuesday (June 27) morning.
The blaze, which involved the centre’s contents, was put out using two water jets, said the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).
SCDF was alerted to the fire at Block 32, Bedok South Avenue 2 at 9.40am, and dispatched a fire engine and a Red Rhino to the scene.
There were no injuries reported.
A video posted on Facebook by user Yemenz Fury showed plumes of black smoke rising from a block of flats.
