PETALING JAYA: A row of semi-detached factories was partly destroyed in a fire in Bandar Seri Damansara.
It is believed that the fire broke out at around 2pm on Tuesday.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Mohd Sani Harul said teams from Sg Buloh, Selayang, Rawang and Damansara were dispatched to the location.
It is learnt that it took firemen about two hours to control the flames.
“The team found eight factory lots, each measuring 20×70 sq ft on fire when they arrived at the scene,” he said.
In the incident, five lots were badly destroyed. The lots are believed to contain shoes, photocopier parts, and fabrics.
Another three lots were only slightly affected by the flames.
These lots are believed to contain chemicals and furniture.
Firemen are investigating the cause of the fire and are determining losses.
There were no casualties.
