Kindergarten in Kulim razed in morning blaze

KULIM: A private kindergarten here was razed in a fire early Tuesday.
A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said there was no one at the Liang Sun Kindergarten, located on Jalan Sungai Lunas here, when the blaze broke out at about 12.15am on Tuesday.
He said that the department received a call at 12.43am and rushed its team to the location.
“When our team reached the scene, the kindergarten was on fire. It took us some 25 minutes to control the fire.
“The kindergarten was 90% destroyed. Operations concluded at about 3.01am,” he said in a statement.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
