Fire breaks out in South Jakarta apartment block

The South Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency deployed 12 fire trucks to the Apartment Verde complex on Jl. Cokong, Setiabudi, one of the most upscale residential areas in South Jakarta, on Monday evening.
The fire broke out at around 6.10 p.m. on the 22nd floor of the apartment building.
“One of the floors in Apartment Verde has been burned out,” the head of the South Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency, Irwan, said on Monday, as quoted by kompas.com.
The fire was brought under control after several hours.
No casualties were reported in the incident and the cause of the blaze is being investigated. (hol)
