Fire breaks out in house in West Jakarta

A house in front of the Roxy Square shopping center in Tomang, Grogol Petamburan in West Jakarta caught fire on Monday.
According the Jakarta Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD), the fire broke out in the house at 12 p.m.
“18 firefighting units were deployed to the scene,” the agency said via its twitter handle @BPBDJakarta, adding that it had also communicated with the state electricity agency PLN to cut electricity supply to the location to prevent the fire spreading. It took nearly a half hour to bring the blaze under control.
No casualties were reported in the incident and the agency will later calculate the losses incurred. (fac)
