Our Correspondent, NarsingdiThree siblings died in a house fire in Narsingdi town Monday night.
Deceased Bithi, 5, Jannat, 3, and seven-month-old Lamia were the daughters of Abdus Sattar of Purba Basail area in the town.
The family has lost all their children.
Md Asaduzzaman, officer-in-charge of Narsingdi Sadar Police Station, said the children were asleep and locked from outside when the fire broke around 11:30pm. Their mother Nurjahan Begum at that time was at her husband’s grocery, about 150 feet from the house, to bring him his dinner, the OC added.
According to police and family sources, the fire had originated from a burning mosquito coil.
On information, firefighters rushed to the spot and doused the flame.
