Fourth Victim Of Tanker Fire Filipino Crewman

KUALA LUMPUR, July 28 (Bernama) — The fourth victim of the Malaysian International Shipping Corporation (MISC) ship, MT Bunga Alpinia, which caught fire on Thursday’s morning in Labuan, is a Filipino crewman.
The body of the victim, known only as Colangoy, was recovered in the waters about 6.5 nautical miles off Kampung Nagalang in Tanjung Aru about 9am Saturday.
This brings to four, the number of bodies recovered in the tragedy.
Another crewman, a Malaysian, is still missing, confirmed Labuan Fire and Rescue Services chief Zainal Madasin.
In a statement here earlier, MISC had confirmed that the two bodies recovered Friday were of Malaysians. The statement said the victims were ordinary seaman Mohd Hanafi Kalil and senior pumpman Zahari Hassim.
Prior to this, MISC had verified that Shahril Azmi Baharudin, 28, from Melaka, who worked as a greaser onboard the vessel, was killed in the incident.
