Row Of 12 Shoplots Destroyed In Pre-Dawn Fire

KAMPAR, Oct 15 (Bernama) — A row of 12 wooden shop lots were destroyed during a pre-dawn fire today, incurring losses amounting to RM400,000.
Kampar Fire and Rescue Department chief Zainuddin Mat Daud said during the 1.45am fire, only two tenants were in the premises but managed to safe themselves.
Among the shops destroyed were four coffee shops, two mini markets, one unit used as a store for vegetables while the rest were empty.
He added that 30 fire fighters in four fire engines took about four hours to bring the fire under control.
Zainuddin said the cause of the fire was being investigated.
