An SBS Transit bus caught fire along the Central Expressway (CTE) early this morning, near the Ang Mo Kio Ave 1 exit towards the city.
The Singapore Civil Defence Forces were alerted to the incident at 6.38am. A fire engine and a Red Rhino were sent to the scene, and the fire was put out within 10 minutes.
The bus was off-service and no passengers were on board. No injuries were reported.
The incident led to a massive jam along the CTE during the morning rush hour.
