Bus catches fire on NLEX in Bulacan

Tension gripped passengers of a bus that caught fire on the North Luzon Expressway in Bulacan province early Friday morning.
Buboy Valles of the NLEX cited initial information indicating the bus belonged to Santrans transport, and caught fire between Bocaue and Marilao towns, radio dzBB reported.
Valles said the bus was on the southbound (Manila-bound) part of NLEX when it caught fire.
A separate report by dzBB’s Allan Gatus said the bus (PVA-963) had been towed away as of 7 a.m.
The report said no one was hurt as the passengers managed to get off the bus safely.
It added the bus was a regular (non-air-conditioned) bus plying the route between Sapang Palay and Sta. Cruz in Manila. — LBG, GMA News
