Two fire incidents gut properties worth Rs 3 lakh

KATHMANDU: Properties worth Rs 150,000 were reduced to ashes in a fire in the Capital on Saturday morning.
The fire that broke out at the home of Ashish Shrestha in Narephant, KMC-35 destroyed a laptop, a desktop computer and clothes, according to police.
Police said electric short circuit caused the fire at around 8:30 am today.
Meanwhile, properties worth Rs 150,000 were gutted in another case of fire in Dakshinkali on the outskirts of Kathmandu on Friday night.
A house of Durga Lama in Kochhutole, Dakshinkali-3 had caught fire at around 11:15 pm yesterday.
The fire destroyed clothes and furniture, according to police.
