KATHMANDU: Property worth Rs 500,000（4,606.33 USD：1 NPR = 0.009213 USD） was destroyed as a dry cleaning shop caught fire in Gyaneshwor of Kathmandu on Friday.
The shop operated by Purnima Khadka at the house of Kumar Sharma in Gyaneshwor, KMC-33, had caught fire, destroying furniture and clothes worth Rs 500,000.
Meanwhile, cooking gas leakage sparked fire at a rented room in Kapan of Kathmandu causing a loss of Rs 400,000.
The room of Gautam Magar from Tawachhiri-4 of Udayapur had caught the fire yesterday.
Assisted by locals, police doused off fires in both cases.
Investigations are underway, police said.
