No casualties in Roi Et warehouse fire

An explosion at a warehouse in Roi Et’s Muang district, which stored different items including fireworks, caused no casualties, police said yesterday.
After receiving a report at 10pm on Wednesday night, police and 10 fire engines went to the Tang Charoen warehouse in Ban Nong Ta Kla Moo 11 in tambon Neu Muang to find that it was on fire with fireworks exploding occasionally. It took two hours to put out the blaze.
Muang Roi Et district chief Surapong Sai-opas said officials suspect the warehouse stored fireworks and explosive items without permission. Officials will inspect the scene thoroughly and if the warehouse was found storing explosives without permission, they will take legal action against the owner, he added.
