A worker was killed while three others were injured in a fire that hit a furniture shop they were working in before dawn Wednesday.
The fire started at 4:30 a.m. at the shop in San Juan village in Taytay town, according to a report on “News 2 Go.”
Killed was worker Alvin Lorenzana, 27, who the report said was trapped inside the shop.
Three other workers, initially identified as Rommel Bermudez, Amado Falcon Jr. and Raffy Peñamora, were rushed to a hospital in Angono town.
An initial investigation showed the fire spread quickly because of the foam stored inside the shop.
While arson investigators are still investigating the cause of the fire, they estimated it caused some P2 million in damage to property. — LBG, GMA News
